This project is “our habitat” and I have not lived in Glasgow for a long time, so for Glasgow, I need more walking and practice to understand the city. We surveyed the east of Glasgow, so we went to the farthest place in the east——Glasgow Cathedral.
As soon as I entered the church, I was stunned by its majesty, and the statue, glass and stone pillars inside made me feel the luxury inside. Few people make a loud noise inside, which makes me awe the church. Then enter the main church to see rows of seats and prayer tables.
I found a seat, sit down and took out my sketchbook. I Looked around and felt atmosphere of the Church. I painted the inside of the church quickly, even though I didn’t draw it very well.
In fact, I like the stained glass inside the church. Each glass has different patterns and represents different meanings.

From Carol Foreman’s <Lost Glasgow>
As we passed the steeple of Glasgow Cross, I found that in the book of Lost Glasgow there was the same steeple from 1814.
Then, we reached the Barrowlands, but Barrowlands didn’t open the door on weekdays, so it seemed more deserted and less crowded.
My First Idea
Then I have some ideas about our habitat. I have seen a Japanese artist who uses a pen to tap a resistor to make a small light bulb generate electricity.
I think this is very interesting, and my idea is not to make the real thing, but to make an animation. When drawing the outline of the first place we made the route, the building that was originally black and white will light up a modern symbol, and then display related information photos, etc., similarly to the second Places.
Here are some surveys about the places we went, which contained some signs of my first impressions of those places, searched their history on the internet, outlines on the map and opening hours, and also wrote my feelings for those local.
At the same time we made pecha kucha to show our progress, experience and feelings.
